December 2023: Listen While You Dance

When we're dancing it often feels like you can focus on your dancing or the music - but it's tough to do both! In this class we'll discuss elements of jazz music (Helen is a jazz pianist!) and practice actively listening while dancing to take inspiration from the music. From there we'll work on expressing the music through your dancing when you hear something that inspires you.

Prerequisites: This class assumes you have taken the BLH Lindy 1 series and at least one Lindy 2 series or have equivalent Lindy Hop experience.

Location: This class is in the library side room of this venue and NOT the main room.

COVID-19 Policy: For this in-person class, we are proof of up-to-date vaccination (including boosters as applicable). Masks are optional. If a COVID spike is observed, the instructors reserve the right to ask folks to dance masked.
